The Gathering Place started when we bought an old nursing home and asked ourselves, “What are we even doing?” After a handful of ideas that didn’t quite work out, we finally landed on something that felt right. We decided to turn the building into The Gathering Place — a simple, comfortable spot where people can unwind, relax, host events, or just rent a room for a night.

It’s a flexible space that can be whatever people need it to be. A place for family reunions, church groups, crafting weekends, business meetings, or travelers passing through. In some ways it feels like a hotel, in others like an apartment building, and sometimes it works perfectly as an event venue.
